Purchasing With A Purpose

THE MISSION

ACCSES New Jersey, a nonprofit that employed of over 7,000 people with disabilities recruited Mission Disrupt to lead its organization in a digital expansion that included a brand overhaul, an online strategy & custom ecommerce website. The goal is to increase awareness of their cause, drive more membership application and help them expand their client base into the commercial sector.

A NEW JERSEY PERSPECTIVE
We started out by rethinking the way this organization could be represented, working on replacing their outdated logo. We decided putting emphasis on the “New Jersey” community it served was important so we designed a new icon around the abbreviation of NJ. New colors provided a vibrant look, while the “NJ” logo made it perfect for all online channels. Alongside a committee put together by ACCSES NJ, our team worked to develop a new slogan for the organization. “Purchasing With A Purpose” helped inform consumer of its mission of selling products that also impacted the lives of those with disabilities.

A BETTER ONLINE EXPERIENCE
Creating an easy to use website was instrumental during the redesign process. Our team had to keep in mind four audience segments each with different reasons for visiting the site. Our layout introduced an effective grid system on the home page that allowed for each user to get to the page they needed in one click, while proper site architecture made it extremely easy to navigate.

A MULTI- FUNCTIONAL WEBSITE
ACCSES NJ wanted a site that created various organizational efficiencies. First, it needed to sell products & collect sales leads. Easy site registration was also needed, allowing users to identify themselves under three roles, which customized what features they had access to. Users of the site also needed a centralized dashboard to allow for easy product reordering, event sign up, to claim member benefits. The site was also the central piece to its new 2018 marketing efforts, fully integrated with advance analytic software and other marketing programs like MailChimp.

ECOMMERCE + MOBILE ENABLED
Using Woocommerce, we built an e-commerce site that featured more than 2,600 products. Customers could use a variety of payment methods including purchase orders, government “P-Cards” and Paypal. A bulk discount feature was created for select products while pricing based on user (Corporate Vs. Government) was also established. Finally, the e-commerce shop is entirely manageable by non-technical users & responsive on all devices ensuring a consistent experience no matter the device.

DEVELOPING A STRATEGIC PURPOSE
Developing an integrated marketing strategy was crucial to the future growth of ACCSES NJ online. We look at all of the channels available for advertisement, researched our audience and establish a plan of attack. The plan left no stone unturned establishing a new creative campaign titled “Our Purpose Campaign” along with communication guides and full media plan.

RESULTS

  • 1,080% increase in online sales revenue year over year.
  • 62% of all visitors are now unique.
  • 48% increase in online registration year over year.
